@ കാഴ്ചകളിലൂടെ – പിച്ചാവരത്ത് ഇതുവരെ പോയിട്ടില്ല. അവിടത്തെ കണ്ടൽക്കാടുകളെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള സുനിൽ കുമാറിന്റെ ലേഖനം വായിച്ചിരുന്നു ഈയടുത്ത്. എന്നെ പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി ആകർഷിച്ചത് പല തരത്തിലാണ്. പ്രധാന കാരണം ഹെറിറ്റേജ് കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾ തന്നെ. പിന്നെ ഓറോവില്ല എന്ന മഹത്തായ ആശയവും. അതേപ്പറ്റി കൂടുതൽ അടുത്ത ഭാഗത്തിൽ പറയാൻ ശ്രമിക്കാം.

In Pondicherry.. if you say Aravinda.. they will take you to the eye hospital. Ashram is Aurobindo. Its known so. Not just this word, many words even the Pondy Tamilians use here are from French, which they think is a Tamil word.

My maid once asked me if there is a "fathey" for my kid's birthday. I really couldnt understand nor could she explain it in Tamil. Later I understood that she meant party. The word - fête - means party in French. ormma vannathu paranjennu mathram. Ineem kure und atharam words.

Ivide ulla aalukalude perukalum athu pole aanu.. nammude Indian perukal aayirikkum, but if you ask them to spell it it would look like a French word. Carounagarin (Karunakaran), Latchoumi (Lakshmi), Soukoumarane (Sukumaran), Krshnamourty (Krishnamoorthi), Radjeisouri (Rajeswari)... ingane pokunnu.. ormmayil vanna chilavarude perukalaaniva.
