There is an abandoned hanging bridge made by the British still in Munnar. Its near to a tea factory on the way side to Anayirangal dam. It is still strong enough to cross the lake…

Etta,I had gone to Munnar yesterday.But iam not lucky because i was not able to visit the places which you had posted.I shall visit all places near Munnar on the next journey.Thanks from my heart.

In a boring day at office wen network cnnction was down, searched for a blog from where got this blog’s link..cliked it.i felt like wen am in a desert n cmpltly tired, sme1 poring heaps of snow into me..read ur blog, me too love to travel a lot.. i hav been to munnar but one thing i hav to say is u have just mentioned abt marayoor,, i hav gone to munnar nt thru the usuall ernakulam-munnar route but via uthumalpett, marayooy.. i hav realised 1thng munnar s nt just tea estate,in that journey.. it was raining also.. there were lot of beatiful places to see.. n i hav stayed in a jungle resort naturezone in munnar i dont say its reasonable but it was another unforgettable exp we have stayed in treehouse there.im a malayalee, but i dnt know hw to type malayalam here thats y used eng..

മൂന്നാറിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള യാത്രാവിവരണം ഒരു കഥ പോലെ അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു.എല്ലാ സ്ഥലങ്ങളും വളരെ വിശദമായി പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ മൂന്നാര്‍ കാണാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഇതു സഹായകമാകും.മുന്‍പ്‌ 2001 ലാണ്‌ ഈയുള്ളവന്‍ മൂന്നാറില്‍ പോയത്‌ .കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം വീണ്ടും പോയി. മൂന്നാര്‍ ഒരു നാഗരിക സ്വഭാവം കൈവരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്‌.മൂന്നാര്‍ സിഎസ്‌ ഐ പള്ളിയിലെ എലേനര്‍ ഇസബെല്‍ മേയുട കല്ലറ കാണാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നെഴുതിക്കണ്ടു. കല്ലറ കുന്നിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും മുകളില്‍ ഇപ്പോഴുമുണ്ട്‌. കല്ലറയ്‌ക്കു ചുറ്റും വേലി കെട്ടി തിരിച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ട്‌. ഇപ്പോള്‍ സെമിത്തേരി മുഴുവന്‍ കാട്‌ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. എങ്കിലും മുന്‍പു പോയപ്പോള്‍ കണ്ട ഓര്‍മവച്ചു വീണ്ടും കല്ലറയുടെ ചുവട്ടില്‍ പോകാനായി.ഇനി പോകുമ്പോള്‍ എലേനര്‍ ഇസബെല്‍മേയുടെ ചരിത്രപ്രസിദ്ധമായ കല്ലറ കൂടി സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുമല്ലോ. എല്ലാ ആശംസകളും.

Have you ever heard of SitaDevi Lake? This is another wonderful view @ Munnar. The lake is near by Devikulam…U can see the same in some movies like Udayanaanu Thaaram (Song : Parayathe Ariyathe..) Amrutham etc.. Lake is still a virgin… Nothing other than nature there…Try that also next time…
