@Shaji – ഡോളറിൽ നിന്ന് രൂപയിലേക്ക് കൺ‌വെർട്ട് ചെയ്ത് ഞെട്ടിക്കുന്ന പരിപാടി ശരിയല്ല്ല. 70 ഡോളർ വാങ്ങുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ 40 ഡോളറെങ്കിലും ചിലവാകും. കുറച്ച് ചാരിറ്റിക്ക് കൊടുക്കുമെന്ന് താങ്കൾ തന്നെ പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ ? 525 രൂപ വാങ്ങുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ 300 രൂപയെങ്കിലും ചിലവാക്കണം. ഓടി വന്നവരെ എല്ലാവരേയും ഒരുപോലെ പരിഗണിക്കണം. ന്യൂയോർക്ക് ബോസ്റ്റൺ മാരത്തോണുകളിൽ ഗുഡി കിറ്റിൽ എന്തൊക്കെ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് കൂടെ താരത‌മ്യം ചെയ്യൂ. അപ്പോൾ അറിയാം, ഇവർ നടത്തിയ തട്ടിപ്പിന്റെ ആഴം. ഞാൻ ഇനിയും ഓടും എന്ന് തന്നെയാണ് ഈ കുറിപ്പിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്. പക്ഷെ ഒരു പരിപാടി നടത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായ ബോധപൂർവ്വമുള്ള അപാകതകൾ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനെ പരാതി പറയുകയാണെന്ന അർത്ഥത്തിൽ മാത്രം കരുതരുത്. അതിനോട് യോജിക്കാനാവില്ല.

In United States, typically local Marathon provide lot of money for charity and the cost for half marathon is about $70 (abut Rs. 4300), much higher for NY or Boston marathon, so quit whining people for the amount you’re paying and the service you get. Just run…

I have sent so many mails to their webpage asking for the date of run. I was told by someone last year that they will conduct on the last sunday of every year and I booked ticket from Dubai on 14th December and planned return on 30th December. I have done Dubai Creek Striders’s half on 5th December,here in Dubai. Thank God I did not re-scheduled my leave for this unorganized event. They do not reply, they dont plan.. The RAK marathon is on 13th Feb 2015, but the registration started I think 4 months back itself.. Thatz how people organize events. Dubai Creek Striders one was a fantastic event. One bag full of goodies, complimentary break fast, free massage, fruits, ice creams and what not! I hope Cochin Marathon will learn from their mistake and carry out the event in a much more professional way!

Perfectly explained. I too was a participant and felt the same as explained in the blog.
Felt like we ran to give publicity for Muthoot.!!

They could have easily conducted this run in the Goshree- Container roads where traffic is very less.. and should have completed the runs by 7:30.AM

വേറൊന്നു കൂടി – കോര്പോരെറ്റ് റിലേ ചലഞ്ച് എന്ന ഒരു ഇനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ടീം ഇനം. ഒരിടത്തും അങ്ങിനെ ഒരു ഇനത്തെ പറ്റി പരാമര്സിച്ചു കണ്ടില്ല..
ഒരു ടീമിൽ 3 പേര്. ഓരോരുത്തരും 7 കിലോ മീറ്റർ ഓടണം. എല്ലാ ടീമുകളും റിപ്പോർട്ട്‌ ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് മുൻപേ രണ്ടാമതും മൂന്നാമതും ഒടനുല്ലവരുമായി ബസ്‌ പോയി. ഒപ്പം ബാറ്റനുകലും. പിന്നിട് എത്തിയ ടീമുകൾക്ക് റിലേയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും അവർ ഓടി. 7 കിലോ മീറ്റർ . തിരിച്ചു വരാൻ പക്ഷെ അവര്ക്ക് 7 കിലോ മീറ്റർ കൂടി നടക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു. പല ടീമുകളും തങ്ങളുടെ നിരാശ മറച്ചു വച്ചു . മീഡിയ മൈൻഡ് പോലും ചെയ്തില്ല. പോരാത്തതിനു മെഡലും കിട്ടിയില്ല. ഒരു ടീമിന് 2000 രൂപ വച്ചായിരുന്നു രജിസ്ട്രേഷൽ ഫീസ്‌ .

@മണികണ്ഠൻ – അങ്ങനെ വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയൊന്നും ഇല്ല മണീ. അവരുടെ സംഘാടന ഗ്രൂപ്പിലേക്ക് കായികരംഗത്ത് നിന്നുള്ള കുറച്ചുപേരെങ്കിലും കടന്ന് വന്ന് ഇത് പുനഃസംഘടിപ്പിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഇതേ നിലവാരം തന്നെ തുടർന്നെന്ന് വരും.
