@ Paavathan – നമ്മൾ എവിടന്ന് കണ്ട് ചിരിക്കാൻ മാഷേ ? അത്തരം വിശ്വാസങ്ങളില്ലാത്ത ഒരാളാണ് ഞാൻ. നമ്മൾ ജനിച്ച് വളർന്ന വീട്ടിലെ/ജാതിയിലെ/ വിശ്വാസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്ത് വന്നവർക്കോ വരാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവർക്കോ മാത്രം മനസ്സിലാകുന്ന കാര്യമാകാം ഞാനിവിടെ പറയുന്നത്.

@Reji Koduvath – മതപരമായ ചടങ്ങുകൾ (മതപരമായത് ഒന്നും പിന്തുടരാത്ത ആളെന്ന നിലയ്ക്ക്) എന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലും ഉണ്ടാകാൻ പാടില്ല. അത് ഈ മരണപത്രത്തിൽ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നമ്മുടേത് തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസം ബാക്കി ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങൾ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിന് കൊടുക്കുന്നു എന്നതും പാർട്ടി നടത്തുന്നു എന്നതുമാണ്. പാർട്ടി നടത്തുന്ന കാര്യം ആലോചിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. അന്നേദിവസം അതിനുള്ള മാനസ്സികാവസ്ഥ ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ എന്നെങ്കിലും ഒരു ദിവസമാകാം. മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിന്റെ കാര്യം ആലോചിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.

@ Manikandan – ഇതൊക്കെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണ്. നടന്നാൽ എന്റെ ഭാഗ്യം. നേഹ ഇതെല്ലാം വളരെ ലാഘവത്തോടെ കാണുന്ന ഒരു പ്രകൃതമായതുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് തന്നെയാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷ.

My will also follows in the similar lines and is the same for wife too. The same has been duly signed by both our two children.
The only addition is that there should be no religious functions after my death like the third/ fortieth day etc and no memorials or stones to be erected.
All organs have already been donated (as reflected in the Health Canada Card) and the remaining body to be given for medical research.
In case anything is still left, it is to be created at the electric crematorium (even though I am a staunch Christian) and any ashes left must be deposited under the nearest tree.
There is something new – after all these, the very same evening or the next, the children should hold a party to celebrate my life and my departure from this world. (Good Riddance)

നമ്മൾ എന്തൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞാലും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ചില ആശങ്കകളും സങ്കടങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകും. മനോജേട്ടൻ എഴുതിയതു പോലെ രവീന്ദ്രൻ സാർ പറഞ്ഞ് ഏല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല എന്ന മനഃസ്താപം മനോജേട്ടനുണ്ട്. നാളെ ഇതേ മാനസീകാവസ്ഥ മറ്റൊരാൾക്ക് ഉണ്ടാകണോ? നമ്മുടെ മരണശേഷം കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും ബന്ധുക്കളും അവർക്ക് ഉചിതം എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നതെന്തോ അത് ചെയ്യട്ടെ. വെറുതെ ആ വിഷമഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഒരു ആശയക്കുഴപ്പം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്. ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അവസരത്തിൽ ഉള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളേ നമ്മുടെ നീയന്ത്രണത്തിൽ അല്പമായെങ്കിലും ഉള്ളു. ഇതാണ് മനോജേട്ടന്റെ ചില സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ എന്റേയും അഭിപ്രായം.
